Superintendent's Message

As the days of summer come to a close, the Sangamon-Menard Regional Office of Education would like to welcome all students, teachers, staff, and parents back to school.

This is an exciting start to a great school year ahead. It is wonderful to see so many familiar faces and exciting to welcome those new to our region.

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome Chris Berberet to ROE #51 as the Assistant Regional Superintendent effective July1 ,2022.

It is hard to believe what has transpired over the course of the last two years. Our students, families, teachers, and community have endured unprecedented circumstances. It has been amazing to witness how our educators have connected with and engaged our students in the face of such adversity.

To our educators and administrators, we are proud and grateful for the challenges you have faced head on and overcome in continuing the education of each student in Sangamon and Menard Counties.  To our students and families, we are proud of you for striving toward your education goals and grateful for the patience you have shown.

Please let us know how we can best support you. Feel free to call us at 217-753-6620 if we can be of service to you.

You might be eligible for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program

Public school teachers & staff often don't realize that they qualify for this program, which is why IDFPR is making a concentrated effort to reach as many teachers as possible before the deadline.  ROE 51 is partnering with IDFPR to help get the word out and to help our hard-working educators apply for loan forgiveness.
