The ROE is proud to present the
Gifted Education Seminar

What can I do for the child who gets it and seems bored?
He is driving me crazy, I can’t give him enough.
I’m not doing everything I can for this bright child. What can I do?

Teachers ask these questions every day. The Gifted Education Seminar has answers for you! The Gifted Education Seminar is designed to help PreK-12th grade classroom teachers deepen their understanding of how to teach and reach gifted and talented students. The goal of the seminar is to help teachers create an environment to identify gifted and talented learners, address their diverse needs, and measure student growth. Teachers will explore topics including perspectives of gifted, knowing the gifted, curriculum models and differentiated instruction.

Differentiation is good instruction for all learners and that includes teachers. The Gifted Education Seminar delivery system is differentiated to meet the learning style and time commitments for busy teachers. Choose the format noted below that fits your schedule. The total seminar takes 45 hours; a combination of face-to-face time and computer assisted technology to complete on your schedule. The cost for the seminar is $25 a day, substitutes are reimbursed and teachers who complete the seminar between January through April will receive $125 of gifted materials. Teachers who attend the summer session will receive a stipend of $300. Registration is limited to 30 participants for each session.
