Practical Uses for Technology in the Classroom Technology enriches the classroom learning experience and enhances instruction when integrated into the school’s curriculum. This workshop will increase teacher’s level of comfort with technology, demonstrate integration methods, and provide time to explore samples of employing technology in many aspects of education. | Social and Emotional Learning (June 9-13) This course provides educators and counselors with the opportunity to select, examine, develop, and practice the congruent integration of ISBE Social-Emotional Learning Standards throughout the academic and CTE curriculum of grades K-16. In addition, participants will modify or create units of instruction to illustrate the various aspects of social and emotional intelligence for success in life, work, and school. professionals who have mastered the secrets of creating a great place to
work. Participants will create an analysis of the current climate in their
school/district, identify sources that spawn negativity and drain energy,
learn leadership tools to motivate and energize employees, and learn the

Mood and Behavior Disorders (AAC #597)This Academy course will provide
participants with tools and research to understand and manage mood
disorders ranging from anxiety, depression, and bi-polar to Attention
Deficient Disorder (ADD), Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Obsessive
Compulsive Disorder, (OCD), and Autism Spectrum Disorders in school. the
workshop includes characteristics of common mood and behavior disorders,
