Ensures
that homeless children and youth in the city of Springfield have equal access
to the same public and preschool programs as provided to other children
Assists
families in addressing problems with respect to the education of the homeless
children such as: transportation, enrollment delays, residency requirements,
assistance in obtaining records necessary to enroll, guardianship issues,
school supplies, and community education and awareness of the rights of
the homeless Assists
families in the prompt resolution of disputes regarding the educational
placement of homeless youth and children Support
homeless families, children and youth in receiving additional educational
services
Cooperate
with the Department of Human Services and assist families in overcoming
the barriers in achieving self-sufficiency
